Mr. Rinesmith practices zoning, land use and general real property law with a primary focus in filing variance and special permit applications at the Board of Standards and Appeals. Mr. Rinesmith also handles various zoning matters with the Department of Buildings, Department of City Planning, and other regulatory agencies. He also works on various transactional matters including zoning lot mergers and the transfer of development rights.

Mr. Rinesmith was an assistant editor and contributing author of the report Breaking Ground: Building in Priority Growth Districts (Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, 2005) and a contributing author to Reinventing Redevelopment Law (Land Use Law Center, Pace University School of Law, 2005).
